Live-Streaming Update

As many of you know, we have been working since Holy Week to Livestream Masses and other celebrations from the Cathedral. At times, however, we have experienced technical difficulties which have resulted in a lack of consistency and have been a source of frustration to many.

In order to Livestream successfully, at present, we must depend upon either wireless internet or cellular data. This poses a unique challenge in the Cathedral as both Wi-fi and cellular signals are very weak due to its construction. This has resulted in signals being dropped at times due to a variety of factors outside of our control.

We want to inform everyone that we have contracted, and work has already begun, to install a fully integrated, professional video system which will enable us to Livestream seamlessly, without dependence upon Wi-fi or cellular data. Once installed, we will have the ability to stream Masses and other events from the Cathedral in a manner that is both consistent and with greatly improved video and audio quality.

Our vendor has told us that it will take a couple of weeks for the system to be installed, dependent upon de availability of the necessary equipment. We are committed to getting this new system up and running as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience as well as your continued understanding as we undertake these improvements!

God bless you all!
